Complete Certification Software for Real-World Systems

Connext Cert is a connectivity framework that enables system architects to build open and modular, safety-critical and real-world systems. Based on the Object Management Group® (OMG®) Data Distribution Service (DDSTM) standard, Connext Cert is the only off-the-shelf connectivity framework certifiable to Design Assurance Level (DAL) A, the highest level of the DO-178C standard. Its reusable evidence also provides a certification baseline for other industry-specific functional safety standards including IEC 61508 (industrial), IEC 60601/IEC 62304 (medical devices) and ISO 26262 (automotive).

Powerful run-time libraries provide publish/subscribe communication APIs that simplify application logic while eliminating the need for custom networking code. Connext Cert can eliminate tens of thousands of lines of application software code and the need to generate accompanying certification artifacts. This greatly reduces the time, cost and risk of device and system-level certification.

Supports Cost Avoidance Initiatives

Connext Cert can save tens of thousands of lines of application software code and millions of dollars in associated integration costs. It aligns with industry-leading open architecture initiatives including FACE, UCS and OMS.

Highest Safety Certification

Compliant with the DO-178C DAL A certification standard and supports pathways to ISO 26262 ASIL D and IEC 61508 SIL 3.

Reduces Code and Costs

Commercially-supported infrastructure that reduces custom communication and integration code, and the need to generate accompanying certification artifacts, slashing development time and expense. Enables a modular architecture that decouples software components to minimize recertification cost as modules are added and updated.

Supports Constrained Systems

Ideally suited for IIoT environments with challenging Size, Weight and Power (SWaP) constraints, such as Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA). Highly portable across safety-critical operating systems and CPUs, including those that support POSIX or ARINC 653.

DDS Standard Compliance

Standards-based solution based on the OMG DDS programming interface and RTPS wire interoperability protocol. Interoperates peer-to-peer across DDS implementations.
