Presented by Real-Time Innovations (RTI)

Real-Time Innovations (RTI) is hosting this 1-day seminar focused on the U.S. Navy’s Unmanned Maritime Autonomous Architecture (UMAA).  Building autonomous maritime systems is incredibly challenging due to the ever-changing environment and adversarial threats. Undersea systems have additional challenges as they submerge and lose communications.

To help meet these challenges, the U.S. Navy has developed the UMAA Architecture Document. UMAA defines a comprehensive data model and a standardized group of services required of maritime vessels and systems. This data model and the required services connect via a common connectivity framework, based on the Data Distribution Service (DDS) standard. DDS ensures that sensor and command data are delivered in real-time when and where needed, within the vehicle, and when communications are available, off-vehicle. DDS is also the standard at the foundation of the RTI Connext® product line.

Join us as we explore the unique challenges of and solutions to creating unmanned and autonomous maritime systems in operational environments that are constantly evolving with new technologies and threats.
