RTI Presents "Blueprint for the Industrial Internet of Things: The Architecture" Complimentary Webinar

RTI CEO, Stan Schneider, to Discuss Industrial Internet Consortium Reference Architecture and Data Centricity Use Cases

SUNNYVALE, Calif.—July 7, 2015—Real-Time Innovations (RTI), the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) connectivity platform company, today announced it is hosting a complimentary webinar, "Blueprint for the Industrial Internet of Things: The Architecture."

The basic technical premise of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is simple: a common architecture that can connect sensor to cloud, power to factory, and cities to medical services. An infrastructure that can bridge these domains would impact industry as profoundly as the enterprise Internet impacted business across verticals.

Of course, what's hard is how to architect systems to capitalize on the IIoT opportunity.

This free webinar sequel will examine data centricity, an architectural feature of the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC) Reference Architecture, the IIC's recently-released initial guidance for enabling the IIoT vision. Data-centric communications connect individual machines together into large-scale intelligent systems that can perform functions that were not possible before. Dr. Stan Schneider, CEO at RTI and member of the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC) Steering Committee, will review successful use cases in medical, power, transportation and industrial control applications. Learning from these applications, the proposed controlled, secure data sharing promises a new era of connectivity that can unify systems top to bottom and across industries.
