MATLAB Simulink® is a block diagram environment for multidomain simulation and Model-Based Design. It supports system-level design, simulation, automatic code generation, and continuous test and verification of embedded systems. Simulink provides a graphical editor, customizable block libraries, and solvers for modeling and simulating dynamic systems. It is integrated with MATLAB®, enabling you to incorporate MATLAB algorithms into models and export simulation results to MATLAB for further analysis.
RTI and Mathworks are working together to provide a seamless integration between Connext applications and Simulink models using a DDS Blockset Support Package. These blocks allows you to create DDS Entities inside a Simulink model, and also publish and subcribe data with other Connext applications.

The following video provides an introduction to these Simulink blocks, and also walks through a sample scenario where you can simulate a distributed system composed of both Connext and Simulink applications.
