At RTI, we encounter many complex systems and many data models. This webinar will provide an overview of how the Data Distribution ServiceTM (DDSTM) standard can provide important benefits to a complex system, and illustrate how a well-designed data model can amplify all of those advantages. By optimizing built-in behaviors of DDS with a great data model, the results are often compelling. In addition to providing useful communications framework functions, this pairing can also minimize system resource consumption, network utilization and developer effort. A great data model and DDS is a win-win.
Join us on November 5 as RTI Field Application Engineer Frank Gates explains why using a thoughtful data model and RTI Connext® DDS together can provide strong Quality of Service (QoS), leverage built-in DDS capabilities and provide an easy path to system optimization.
Who should attend
This seminar is designed for system architects and designers, whether they’re working on a new fresh design or simply looking for ways to breathe new life into legacy design environments. For those looking to begin using DDS for mission-critical system design projects, this information-packed webinar is a great place to start.
What you'll learn
- Introduction to DDS with an emphasis on the benefits of a well-designed data model
- Application of Connext DDS’s strong data model and QoS capabilities
- How Connext DDS delivers secure and safety-critical designs
- A Connext DDS and tools demonstration to illustrate the practical aspects of developing with Connext DDS

Frank Gates, Field Application Engineer, RTI
Frank Gates has enjoyed a long career highlighted by specific expertise in complex, mission-critical systems. His early work with critical-infrastructure voice/data telecoms led logically to architecting responsive distributed systems and networks, even before they became known as IoT. More recently, Frank has focused on bringing high-performance Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) solutions to mission- and safety-critical systems in aerospace & defense and autonomous applications.
This webinar is part two of three in the, "Future-Proof Your Mission-Critical Systems with DDS" series:
