*The Essential Support Package described on this page is for a standard 12-month subscription. Your subscription package may vary based on individual contract details. Please reach out to your account team or firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
The premium support hours may be used in part or full during the same visit when the onsite training occurs or it can be used at a later time for additional remote support. Additionally, you can opt to convert your 3-day QuickStart Training Package into 3 additional days of premium support time.
Please let us know If your project has training or support needs other than the options listed above. We can tailor the engagement to best suit your requirements.
Training programs are conducted in a computer lab or conference room at the customer’s site. Up to 8 active students and 10 auditors may attend. During lectures we welcome sit-in guests from your facility, especially during the morning of the first day when we cover the technology from a more architectural level. The hands-on portion of the class will begin in the afternoon and continue alternately with lectures on the second and third day.
For the Professional and Secure QuickStarts, the hands-on exercises can be taught in .NET/C#, C/C++ or Java on either Windows, Linux or a combination of both, depending on your preferences. The hands-on exercises for the Micro training is taught in C or C++ on either Windows, Linux, or a combination of both. The classroom will require a projector and a sufficient number of computers with appropriate compilers and RTI product installed to support the hands-on exercises. Training logistics and requirements will be discussed in detail during the planning call.
More information about training, including typical agendas, can be found on our Educational Services page.
Premium Support Description
The two-day Connext DDS Support Package (CSP) includes 16 hours of premium support hours with an RTI engineer. The support hours may be used in part or full during the same visit when the onsite QuickStart training occurs or it can be used at a later time for additional remote support. The goal of the CSP is to provide premium support to assist with installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of RTI technology. The CSP is an efficient and flexible way to receive expert assistance during any project stage and provides the assurance that RTI expertise will be available when needed most, thus maximizing efficiency and minimizing risk.
How to Schedule Your QuickStart and Support Hours
At your earliest convenience, please fill out the below questionnaires. Each questionnaire can be submitted separately:
Upon submission of the QuickStart questionnaire, we will contact you to schedule an initial planning call. The initial planning call typically lasts about an hour and is used to discuss training logistics and to establish the goals and objectives for the training. Given that a QuickStart training can be tailored to your specific system requirements and needs, we’ve found that upfront planning goes a long way to ensuring that the training provides maximum value. We strive to schedule the QuickStart Training within 6 weeks following receipt of the scheduling form, based on your schedule and RTI resource availability. Travel expenses are included in the purchase price. Training that has not been scheduled 12 months after purchase will be forfeited without refund.
Upon submission of the support hours (CSP) questionnaire, we will contact you to discuss scheduling. We strive to schedule the support hours within 6 weeks of receiving the form, based on your schedule and RTI resource availability. Travel expenses are not included for the support hours unless the support hours are used during the same visit as the QuickStart. Support hours that have not been used 12 months after receipt of order will be forfeited without refund.
Thank you and we look forward to working with you.
