University Program Application
To apply for a software grant, send a short proposal to up@rti.com. In your proposal, please:
Tell us who you are:
- Give your institution name and your affiliation with the institution.
- State your non-profit status.
- Name the faculty and students involved with their contact information.
- Identify the primary faculty contact and provide background: role in the university.
- Include phone number, email and mailing address of primary faculty contact and yourself.
- Include your programming experience, educational major, thesis topic (if any).
- Give an estimate of how many people will use the software.
- How did you learn about our University Program?
Tell us what you want to do:
- Give us some history. Indicate a web site or include papers so we can understand what you do.
- Describe your research. Indicate your project timeline.
- Tell us how you develop applications now and how you think our software will benefit you.
- Indicate the funding agencies for your laboratory and this project. Include funding levels if possible.
- List other donors to your laboratory or project. List any external companies or research institutions that you work with closely.
- Describe what hardware you will use (i.e. CPU boards, host, targets, experimental equipment).
- Tell us what other software your laboratory uses (operating systems, analysis software, etc.).
- List any courses that you would be using this software for.
