RTI- At a Glance

Real-Time Innovations, Inc. (RTI), The Real-Time Middleware Experts™, works in partnership with its customers to develop and integrate the world's most demanding real-time applications. RTI takes the risk out of distributed application development and system integration by providing deep expertise in real-time communications coupled with the highest-performance messaging middleware, RTI takes the risk out of distributed application development and system integration. RTI's software and services have been leveraged in a broad range of industries including defense, intelligence, simulation, industrial control, transportation, finance, medical and communications.

RTI, a spin-off from a Stanford University robotics research group, has grown to support hundreds of customers. Raytheon, Nikon, Applied Materials, Schneider Automation, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Harmonic and the U.S. Military rely on RTI for their expertise in distributed real-time systems.

RTI also has an active presence in standards organizations, including the Object Management Group (OMG), Open Group, Network Centric Operations Industry Consortium (NCOIC) and Eclipse. Most recently, RTI served as the primary author for the OMG's Data Distribution Service (DDS) for Real-Time Systems standard. DDS standardizes the software application program interface (API) by which a distributed application can use Data-Centric Publish/Subscribe (DCPS) communication.

The Real-Time Middleware Experts™

RTI provides the talent to help you meet the challenges of developing complex networked applications. RTI's team of experts helps you mitigate project risk, increase productivity and deliver quality on a shorter schedule. The RTI Consulting Services team consists of highly trained and specialized engineers who have been helping customers develop a broad range of data-critical applications for more than a decade. Building upon RTI's market leading products, and its active commitment to industry standards, RTI Consulting Services provides an important head-start and competitive edge.

RTI's past engagements include custom middleware for industrial automation, integration of shipboard networks, design and integration of robot cranes and architecture for a 24x7 train-dispatch call center. The RTI Consulting Services team draws on experience building systems, not just networks, and can provide insight at any stage of the product lifecycle.

About RTI Data Distribution Service

RTI Data Distribution Service (formerly NDDS) is high-performance messaging middleware for the development and integration of applications that require low latency, high throughput, high scalability, deterministic responses and minimal consumption of network, processor and memory resources. RTI Data Distribution Service is an open-architecture platform that complies with the Object Management Group's (OMG's) Data Distribution Service (DDS) for Real-Time Systems standard.

About RTI Developer Platform

RTI Developer Platform considerably simplifies the challenge of developing and integrating complex, high-performance distributed systems. The tools suite targets a development environment based on the open-standard Data Distribution Service (DDS) for building large and distributed real-time applications. The integration with Eclipse means that teams can easily integrate custom development and debugging tools into their practices, or leverage one or more of the many third-party and open-source plug-ins available to enhance the development experience.

About RTI Real-Time Connect

RTI Real-Time Connect is the first off-the-shelf, standards-compliant solution for integrating enterprise applications with real-time applications, data and devices. RTI Real-Time Connect overcomes the challenges traditionally associated with integrating enterprise and real-time systems, preventing high-throughput real-time applications from overwhelming slower enterprise infrastructure and bridging between their different middleware and data management standards.

RTI Real-Time Connect also provides a migration path to higher-performance messaging for those applications currently using slower technologies such as JMS, SOAP or CORBA. Those components of a system needing higher throughput or lower latency can migrate to DDS, with RTI Real-Time Connect providing interoperability with legacy components, minimizing the impact of introducing new technology.

About RTI Data Distributed Data Management

RTI Distributed Data Management integrates peer-to-peer networking and real-time, in-memory data management systems into a complete solution that manages storage, retrieval, and distribution of fast changing data in dynamically configuring network environments. RTI Distributed Data Management provides continuous availability in real-time of all information that is crucial to the enterprise.
