It takes a mix of standards-based technologies with

(RTI), are offering a unique seminar series on the U.S. Navy Open Architecture
(OA). The Navy OA is a systems-design approach supported by verifiable
governmental testing platforms such as the Category 3-compliant Open Architecture
Computing Environment (OACE), which seeks to implement open specifications
for interfaces, services and supporting formats.
The free half-day seminar will include discussions on how Navy OA technology
can fulfill demands for the following:
- Fully distributed processing, unlimited scalability and modularity,
high reliability, and fault-tolerant data management
- Standards-based software and hardware building blocks including:
° Real-time POSIX- and Linux-based operating systems
° Standards-based publish-subscribe middleware
