Dr. Gerardo Pardo-Castellote, Chief Technology Officer

Gerardo has been with RTI since 1995. He specializes in real-time software architectures and networking.

His professional experience includes time-critical software for data acquisition and processing, real-time planning and scheduling software, control system software, and software-system design. He authored the original version of RTI Data Distribution Service.

He currently chairs the Data Distribution Service Finalization Task Force at the Object Management Group (OMG).

Gerardo holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering, an MS in Computer Science, and an MSEE from Stanford University. He also holds a BS in Physics from the University of Granada (Spain).

Dr. Bob Kindel, Vice President of Engineering Services

Bob joined RTI in 2000 as an applications engineer with a strong background in control systems and distributed network engineering. He is an expert at the design and debugging of complex distributed applications and spent 2 years focused on embedded and network-system debugging. His past consulting work has included customer training, system design and integration debugging.

In Bob’s current role, he is responsible for growing and managing the training, consulting and customer support organizations to ensure that RTI’s customers are successful.

Bob holds a PhD and MS in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford and a BS in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from MIT.

Catherine Mekler, Vice President of Operations

Catherine joined RTI in 1998. Catherine's responsibilities include managing several operational areas, including the Human Resources, Information Technology, Finance, Operations Services, and Corporate Business departments.

Before joining RTI, she worked for small companies in the Silicon Valley area.

Catherine holds an MBA from Santa Clara University.

Supreet Oberoi , Vice President of Engineering

Supreet Oberoi brings extensive design and product engineering skills in developing Enterprise systems and software. Before joining RTI, Supreet was responsible for the development of Agile Software’s strategic product line, while also managing platinum accounts. Supreet started his career at Microsoft Corporation in the Multimedia System groups. At Oracle Corporation, he held various technical and line-management positions over a seven-year period developing web-based Enterprise applications for the CRM and Server Technology divisions. Supreet was also a founding member and director of Engineering for Trading Dynamics, which was acquired by Ariba for $740 million. He has patents in customer relationship management (CRM), supply chain management and product lifecycle management (PLM).

Supreet received his BS degree in Computer Sciences with Highest Honors from University of Texas at Austin and MS in Computer Sciences from Stanford University.

David Barnett, Vice President of Marketing

David joins RTI with 20 years of experience in the real-time software industry and an extensive background in product management and marketing. Most recently, he managed product marketing at Green Hills Software, a leading supplier of real-time operating systems. Prior to Green Hills, David was vice president of marketing for real-time middleware provider Highlander Engineering, where he played a key role in the company's Series A funding, growth into a market leadership position, and eventual acquisition by Borland Software Corporation. Barnett has also held senior product management and marketing positions at Mentor Graphics Corporation's Embedded Software Division and Wind River Systems. He began his career as software engineer and manager at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where he was responsible for the implementation of several distributed real-time applications.

David has BA in Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley.
