RTI provides the communications platform for the real-time Internet of Things. Our RTI Connext™ messaging software forms the core nervous system for smart, distributed applications. RTI Connext DDS allows devices to intelligently share information and work together as one integrated system.
Our customers span the breadth of the Internet of Things, including medical, energy, mining, air traffic control, trading, automotive, unmanned systems, industrial SCADA, naval systems, air and missile defense, ground stations, and science. The total value of system designs that trust RTI for their fundamental architecture exceeds $1 trillion.
We are committed to open standards, open community source and open architecture. RTI provides the leading implementation of the Object Management Group (OMG) Data Distribution Service (DDS) standard.
As the world's largest embedded middleware provider, RTI is privately held and headquartered in Sunnyvale, California.
Connext DDS Micro is a small-footprint DDS implementation intended for resource-constrained devices and applications with minimal memory, Flash, CPU power or no operating system.
Connext DDS Cert is a certifiable DDS implementation intended for safety-critical systems.
DDS Toolkit for LabVIEW is a high performance, highly scalable software communications infrastructure that allows distributed LabVIEW and native applications to smoothly interoperate.
RTI was founded in 1991 by robotics researchers from Stanford University. Engineering and research is part of the company's DNA.
RTI employs over 60 development, research and field engineers worldwide. This team includes the world's best in distributed real-time information. Most RTI engineers have a MS degree, and many PhDs, from top universities such as Stanford, MIT, UC Berkeley, Rensselaer, CalTech, and Vanderbilt. Many have deep experience in industries ranging from defense to telecommunications to robotics.
In addition to product engineering, RTI supports an active research program, with six current active projects totaling nearly $3m. Our research team includes specialists in network security, real-time situational awareness, data mining, and data distribution. We publish dozens of papers every year and support speaking events around the world.
RTI offers a global sales and services footprint, with sales offices or distributors in 14 countries, serving most of the globe. We support hundreds of active customer sites with a global support team that can optionally offer 24x7 service. The RTI support team is part of our development organization, thereby offering direct access to deep expertise as well as speeding customer experiences into the product cycle.
The RTI consulting services team comprises experienced engineers from system integrators, large defense organizations and commercial companies. Our team has thousands of hours of hands-on experience, executing Architecture Studies every week, delivering advanced training, building product enhancements, and providing turnkey project assistance. RTI has completed projects onsite in dozens of countries.
